There was a rumour going around the Web about two years ago that the seventh book was going to come out on 7/7/07. When I found out it wasn't a few days ago, I thought it was kinda stupid she's doing it two weeks after the PERFECT date. But now I just think Hey, at least it's coming out title=Big

Yea, I'm probably going to an HP release date party. At Casa Loma (Which is the only Castle in Toronto, and thus the only accessible Castle to moi). So I'm so happy.

Not to mention:

HARRY POTTER IS COMING OUT! WOOHOO!

^ title=Big Me too.

My best friend (also a Harry Potter freak) wants Voldemort to win because he's tired of the good guy ALWAYS winning. He has a point, but I don't know....it would be rather disappointing. I have very mixed feelings about this book's release title=crying title=Big .

It would seem like a stupid career move. I mean, seriously, if I signed on to do one of the movies as a main character I would feel obligated to finish all of them. I don't think she'd be as successful breaking away from the franchise as she would be if she finished it.

That being said, I have no idea if it's true or not lol

This is what it says on Wikipedia (the most useful Internet tool EVER)

'By December 2006, Watson had not committed to appearing in the Harry Potter film series beyond the fifth installment; though the Potter films constitute her only professional acting experience, she has expressed interest in expanding her film career into other works. '

There are sources, too. title=Frown But this doesn't NECCESARILY (spl?) mean that she is quitting after five. It is just unknown whether she will return.

Here's something my friend showed me

The first link is to sound clips, the second is the guy's page

Oliver Wood
And The Remembralls

Although as a warning, there are only a few of the ~sound clips~ (Not even the entire song) that make me tear up.

And I'd suggest listening to The Hallows second to last and End of an Era last.

For the first time I prefer the Adult version of the HP cover to the American or British/Canadian (/Australian?) one.

As much as JK would be killing the whole series in one paragraph, yes, it would be very funny (if you have a weird sense of humor, like me).

oh btw - emma signed for the last two! at least we have the same 3 main characters for all 7 ... i liked the original dumbledore WAY WAY better this one just doesn't seem to get it, like in the fourth movie when he gets angry and like shoves harry around after his name comes out of the goblet ... so not dumbledore's style ...

I know! Dumbledore would never do that. Dumbledore is like Jesus or Siddhartha or any other extremely calm, wise, person. As you said TG, that is so not Dumbledore's style.

P.S. TG - I like your new siggy and avie. title=Smilie

it's getting closer....

WHO'S EXCITED??!?

i'm actually a little sad that it has to end... but all good things must come to an end. i think people would start to get tired of always hearing about Harry Potter anyways.

do you think Rowling will write anything else?

Probably going to stick to wizarding...maybe the same Wizarding world with completely different charaters, and a different timeframe.

She said the main reason would be school...how the movie interferes with her study time.

i can't imagine her writing about anything else than the wizarding world... but i don't know what it'll be like.. not reading about Harry.

the movies won't feel right without emma... like, if she were the only one to not finish out all the movies.. it would just be awkward...

You're a madman!

Now read it in a mirror starting from the back of the book. It's a totally different story that way.

OK, so I loved this book...very good. I'm glad Snape turned out to be a good guy. Neville finally learned to fight back...I always liked Neville. The saddest part about the book...Lupin and Tonks. They were my two favorite characters, along with Hagrid and Dumbledore. I didn't like the starting though...it focused too much on Harry, Ron, and Hermione and not enough of the other characters. Barely any Ginny, Neville, Hagrid, or Luna...but that's okay. I also thought that the ending was incomplete and rushed...it just ended with Harry in Dumbeldore's office...while he was there, I think it would have been cool if he talked to Snape's portrait. It would have made it more complete...there's my two cents!

If I spoiled it for ya, let's just say, I warned you!

I didn't really like the epilogue, it just seemed like a bunch of names thrown out there, you didn't really learn much that wasn't obvious.
I was surprised Hagrid survived, and totally depressed that Fred didn't. I figured if one of the twins was going to die, the other one would at least be there. The fact that George wasn't even present just tore my heart apart even more.

I would ave been soooo sad if Hagrid died. Meghan--I agree with you that the epilogue was just a bunch of names. It got confusing because the names were Albus, James and Lily...I thought they had come back to life for a second.

i think the epilogue was a nice touch... but i think it was more something that Rowling wanted to include to just make people happy. It was ... not really needed. (not to mention that i don't like Ron and Hermione together.. haha)

i thoroughly enjoyed the book, even though too many people died. but of course, it's something that kinda... needs to happen. with all that violence, it was inevitable that people no one wanted to die were going to anyways, despite anyone's hopes for a perfect happy ending.

WHO ELSE WAS ECSTATIC THAT SNAPE WAS ACTUALLY GOOD?!? i was... in tears pretty much, reading all of that. i couldn't believe it.

the whole novel just ... finished tying up any loose ends of not only the main plot line, but all secondary plots. i LOVE that so many of the plots link to the first book too... Rowling did an awesome job.

wow... i haven't been able to talk about the book with so many people. haha, too many of my friends haven't finished YET.

I was ecstatic!

Also, here is a transcript of a chat room with JK Rowling. She tells the fate of several main characters....very cool.

I never doubted Snape was a good guy (despite all my friends making fun of me lol), it just didn't feel right.

I was always very unsure about Snape...I thought in the end HE was going to kill Voldy. That would have been more unexpected.

P.S. This is my 500th post! And I've only been here for seven months...holy buckets!
