All right, who's going?

I will be there for both nights. Just out of curiosity, who else might I be running into?

lerdave and 3-fan I'll be near you.

SEC 3; Row C; Seat 1 WED
SEC 3; Row E; Seats 1 + 2 THURS

Now...how about a MB aftershow party on the Thursday night? We all head to a bar afterwards and reminisce about the good old days? I don't believe I'm the only one thinking along these lines...

(Maybe we should wear namebadges?)

Sounds Good 'Zilla, err Rhiannon... title=Smilie Too bad we won't be there the same night. Perhaps we'll meet at the Fox in a few weeks?

It is cool that the MB'rs look like their in the same area...

Hey Rhiannon, I'll be right there next to you on Wednesday night. I've got 5 & 6. title=Smilie

I'm in K on Thursday. I, being the idiot that I was when the offer went up, couldn't get my username to work. (Forgot that I had to leave off the underscore on their website.) So, it took me longer than it should have to log on and I ended up in K. (Am I really complaining about K? There's something really really wrong with that...) title=big

I can't wait to be there. I'll see some of you in Atlanta at the Fox too. (And in Bloomington, Covington, Louisville, and maybe Mansfield.) I figure it's the last chance for a long while, I might as well make the best of it. title=Smilie

Liz, Rhiannon, I'll be sitting in your row for Wed night as we have seats 1-4. Plus I have two other message boarders with me. I have the same seats for Thursday too oddly enough. What a blast it will be!!!!!!

Thistle, I think an aftershow party would be better on Wed night because many of us will be leaving to head home Friday morning. I can only swing the two days off work.

I'll be hanging with Eric in the fourth row both nights, and I'm up for any and all parties/get-togethers/shindigs either night.

So excited!

E - if you kick me in the back on Wednesday I will return the favour on Thursday!

A Wed shindig sounds good - maybe on Thurs we could all meet up for a drink or such somewhere nearby beforehand and get to know each other a bit so we can put faces to names and still be back home early?

As a side note, is anyone else staying at the Best Western Downtown Convention Centre?

All I'm saying is name tags will be necessary.

Also, anyone consider that during the day on Thursday would be a good time to do a little face to face trading?

I really looking foward to this show and meeting some of you.

I've never been to Nashville. Anyone have suggestions on places to stay (inexpensive), do, eat, etc. I'll have the wife and 16 month old twins with me.

Hmm, good idea Quo, I'll bring a spindle of discs!

I think I must've been the first one in, for the Thursday show (11/29). I ended up with Sec 3, row B, seats 3,4,5--Shocked, I had to doublecheck the seating chart. Jeff Lester is sitting next to us.

See you all there!

so whoever else is going to be in ATL, i will start up a thread for that again sometime in the next few days. maybe we could work something out. the Fox usually has their snack bar open, we could all pop in for some popcorn and a quick chat... or something. title=Big
now i just HAVE to make Nashville happen.

Eric, remember when I was taking pictures of the back of Brett's head at Merlefest? Well, this time it'll be the back of YOUR head. title=Smilie I'll be in E4 and E5 on Thursday. Lizbeth, even though you're back in K, I'll try to say hi. I met you at the NC concert in Cinci back about five years ago! We were right at the front of the line.

Looks like I'm officially going to the first night. Sec 5 Row C Seats 5 and 6.

Second night sold out too fast to get two tickets, so it looks like we've got a Ryman campout on our hands.

Eric - I will be taking a wig in my bag. An enormous black bubble perm wig. If you kick too hard...the wig goes on. And stays on. Just a friendly warning. title=Big

Though I guess I don't know about those AA/BB rows.

How are those wooden benches on comfort?

i'm going thurs. night- Sec 3, Row C seats 5,6

looks like we will be piled together. i think its perfect that the band will see the band of us together right up front. that's sweet to me.

i'm curious to what some of your real names are. i think a name tag with the nickname and the real name is a good idea, who said that?

anybody know who the esther smith reference is?

i got section 5 row K for wednesday. i WANTED balcony seats, but it kept giving me lower level. oh well. K should be far enough up that i'm not under the balcony. Thursday sold out quick for me too so i'm going to have to try Saturday. not that it matters, because i'm thinking the AA and BB rows, plus the front of the balcony will be up for grabs.

If you want an idea of how cool this venue (ryman) is going to be for their final shows, check out this link:

http://www.photowebusa.com/opryland/...uditorium.html

(note: you can click on the picture and move it around for a 360 degree view)

After the Fox last Friday I'm so excited for late November!!!

But it will be oh so bittersweet...

Where was that info about the downtown Nashville Hotel that had a Nickel Creek rate for the nights of their shows? I can't seem to find that thread or posting.

Jimmie,

In the email, it says it is the Hampton Inn Nashville/Vanderbilt. mention Nickel Creek Fans to get the group rate of $119. Must be reserved by 10/28.

Is that what you needed?

Ok, so there's been much ado about The Fox Theatre show being their largest crowd yet. But from what I've been reading, Ryman can seat more people. If they sell out, will the final shows be the largest audiences ever?

I believe the seating capacity per show is 2200 people. At least that's the number that I was told when tickets went on sale. So it won't be anywhere near the Fox crowd. I've been in there before and that number sounds right. It's definitely not a huge theater.

They ryman website seating chart lists 1298 seats for the main floor and 1064 for the Balcony. (total - 2362). This is right about half the size of the Fox which seats 4,678.

I'm going! Finally booked it all about 30 minutes ago. Not the best seats in the house, but it's more important to be there in any seat than not! I'm staying at the BW Downtown Convention Centre. I'm certainly up for partying...

Still seats available for Thursday at the Ryman ( I assume for Wednesday too). It's hard to figure out Ticketmaster. For awhile there were no seats available. One day I looked and they only had obstructed view seats. Now there are regular seats that are better than what you could get a couple of weeks ago.

Right then guys - the gig is drawing ever nearer and I'm appointing myself to the Party Planning Committee. Quite a few people have said they'd like to meet up whilst in Nashville and I'm certainly very much in favour of such an endeavour. I'll throw out an idea and it can be debated.

Basically, instead of us all trying to find our way to a place many of us might not know, how about we all meet at the Ryman prior to the gig on the Wednesday (and similarly on the Thursday if so desired). It'd be a good chance for those who are Will Call to pick up their tickets and chances are we'll have all worked out where it is. Now I don't know N-ville at all but maybe someone could suggest somewhere nearby we could all go for a bite to eat or a couple of drinks before we head back to the venue?

Thoughts, ideas, objections?

I'm in for Thistle's plan. What time should we meet on Wednesday?

I'm flying tomorrow morning so won't be able to check this website from tonight until I get back on Sunday so hopefully plans won't change - if they do I won't know about it!

Doors are at 7:30, right? Shall those who wish to partake in this social extravaganza meet outside the main doors at the front of the Ryman at, say, 5:30? Will that leave us enough time to get a meal somewhere?

Anyone want to take sticky labels we can use as nametags? I should be easy enough to recognise - 5'5'', brunette, green coat, raucous laugh, Scottish accent, really freaking excited.

Come on guys - everyone seemed really enthusiastic about this idea initially and it could be a great start to the evening!
